Correct way to cook an omlette

    Make sure you use room temperature eggs. If you don't won't to wait that long put them in hot tap water for 5 minutes. And make sure you scramble the eggs until they are about half cooked, that will cut down on the uncooked egg on top.

    beat the eggs with water...not milk and add a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce to the mix. a non stick skillet, some cooking spray a spatula and your misenplace....you're ready for your new asst. mgr. job @ Wafflehouse :woohoo:

    it isn't cooking an egg, it is making an omlette. I bet most of the peope who think they know how to do it screw it up but don't realize it.

    At omlette stations in fancy restaraunts they use olive oil, very high heat, and a pan designed specifically for 3 egg omlettes.

    yes, an omelet pan. Where I used to work the chefs would cook it half way thru and then just "flip" it in half perfectly with no spatula or anything. Tried it at home once...not good.

    I use an 8 incher, larger pans makes the omlette too thin for me.

    yeah because milk causes watery eggs but water doesn't :trophy:
