    I hadn't thought of that in years.....

    Did anyone eat that as a kid? Is it a Southern thing or a Mountain thing, or just a thing?

    You are. I had to try it as a kid because it was supposed to be good. It weren't. :no:

    I like cornbread and I love milk, but buttermilk :shudder:

    I make grilled cheese sandwiches with cornbread and marinate the cheese in skim milk first. does that count?

    I'll make cornbread with buttermilk, but I can't stand the taste of buttermilk. So cornbread and milk it is.

    Weird, that came up in a conversation just the other day. Sound like an. aquired taste. His dad did the butter milk though.
