I pretty much said that at this point Tim Duncan is the second greatest player to come out of the acc other than jordan as far as nba career goes. Of course he says no, because he's a carowhina fan, and says james worthy. Now, i say well, duncan is an 8 time all nba first teamer, at least two time league mvp and two time finals mvp. He says that the league was better when worthy played. That to me is irrelevant, but anyways, opinions?

Duncan is better. That's not a discredit to Worthy, because he's easily top 10 and probably is top 5, but Duncan is better.

When David Thompson came out of school, before he got on dope and started fucking white women, was pretty damn good, don't you think? Much better than Duncan. Bob McAdoo was a better scorer than Duncan.

You are probably right on that.

Mark Price might be a good argument, although he never won it all or was ever considered the best player in the NBA. If he could have satyed away from drugs, Phil Ford might have been able to make the discussion.

Problem is with Thompson is all the what ifs. Hell he MIGHT have been better than Jordan if it weren't for those things.

McAdoo would rank high too, but I'd still rank Duncan higher.

five years ago youcould have said Worthy(or several others). Duncan is easily the second best based on production. there are many others who were very good that got hurt, drugs, etc. D Thompson was playing when I was in diapers so I cant comment on him. Ralph Sampson had all the potential in the world. how about Chucky Brown. got rings, and enough different jerseys to open his own sports bar. just kidding

I think if the Spurs win the title this year, Duncan is a pretty safe second best.

You could argue what if's all day long and make a case for David Thompson, Len Bias etc. But if you're looking at results, Duncan is your man.

Never said it was a guarantee - I just think that Bias had it all.
