Does anyone listen to contemporary Christian music? I heard a version of "Midnight Cry" today on the radio that put cold chills up my neck, but I could not catch the name of the singer. It was a man; but not Michael English, Alvin Slaughter or Clay Crosse because I have their versions. Ideas?

It has been done by so many that it's hard to say. I have several copys of it but I think I like the one done by a old man--might have been Granpa jones--the best.

WHILE the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps." Matt. 25:5-7.

    10. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

    13. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Don't know who it is but I love Clay's latest rendition of "Oh Holy Night". Kind of a salsa/samba rhythm to it.

Anyone know who wrote this song?

I was blinded by the devil, born already ruined
Stone-cold dead as I stepped out of the womb
By His grace I have been touched
By His word I have been healed
By His hand I've been delivered
By His spirit I've been sealed

Now I've been saved by the blood of the Lamb
I'm saved by the blood of the Lamb
    And I'm so glad
    Yes, I'm so glad
Now I'm so glad (So glad)
I want to thank you, Lord
I just want to thank you, Lord
Thank You, Lord (Thank You, Lord)

By His truth I can be upright
By His strength I can endure
By His power I've been lifted
In His love I am secure
He bought me with a price
    Freed me from the pit
    Full of emptiness and wrath
And the fire that burns in it

    Nobody to rescue me
    Nobody would dare
I was going down for the last time
But by His mercy I've been spared
    Not by works
But by faith in Him who called
For so long I've been hindered
For so long I've been stalled

Thats where I got the Lyrics, off of Third Days website. They are one of my favorite bands.

As Lex posted, the song "Saved" was written by Bob Dylan and Tim Drummond and originally recorded on Dylans album of the same name in 1980. While touring in the 80s longtime fans often left the shows early and really mad because they wanted to hear his older stuff. I thought it was interesting because you usually dont think about Dylan and Contemporary Christian Music at the same time.

My favorite is "My Redeemer Lives" by Nicolle C. Mullen.
    Is that comtemporary or gospel?
