Kicked major ass at the Cat's Cradle Saturday night.

highlight of my night was when Conor left the stage and the band did "Everyone's Talking At Me." Right after they finished the song, some late 20's female pointed at me and said "YOU!" I go "Me?" and she says "You're probably the only one here old enough to know who did that song originally. Who did it? We don't know!" I gave her the answer and she gave me a hug and offered to buy me a beer. I shoulda asked for Geritol.

I wish we got more bands that don't suck in Charlotte. It's getting better, but it'd be nice to get Oberst.

After the 2nd act, The Evangelicals, that was almost true. They were like a bad cross of Morrisey and Explosions in the Sky on Ecstasy with the amps cranked wide open..

Most of the stuff popular with high school to college aged kids (the ones not listening to the radio) is terrible.

So that doesn't really surprise me. I still can't believe people like Avenged Sevenfold.
