if j will didn't have to pick his damn nose at that exact moment, that play doesn't happen. Larry, i'm with you, i don't think unc is gonna have that quick turnaround. I'm hoping that they keep losing and doh doesn't eat anymore. Then, when he finally turns into a real skeleton, they bring in phil ford so the kids can go drink after practice.

Just having fun with ya Larry - FSU was Carolina's bitch last year and I'd love to play them again with the same team, then they could be our bitch every year.

As far as beating all those teams next year... I don't want to imply that because its not often any ACC school has gone through and beat all the top ACC teams every year.

I do think the heels will get back to their 20 plus wins and NCAA birth along with a top 3 ACC finish... (The stuff you FSU football fans are use to):D

Duke and Maryland are the class of the nation, not just the ACC--it was that way last year too by the end of the year.

Kansas aint to shabby either! Every team in the ACC takes big personel losses next year. UNC's losses will be a positive (lang and capel). I think the ACC will be up for grabs next year too. Let's look at the potential losses for the top teams right quick: Duke - JW, CB, and possibly MD ( he's ready kids) and I think he may go pro. Dook's freshmen incoming class is talented but Shelden Williams and Sean Dockery may never make it to campus.

Maryland - LB, JD, and I believe CW will turn pro early too. Their recruiting class is marginal.

Wake Forest - will be rebuilding. I think they will lose 5 of their top 7.

NC State - Will miss Miller and Grundy more than they think. The starting backcourt will be very young for the wulfies.

    Virginia - will be loaded.

Clemson - will be much improved.

G tech - Will miss Akins!

    FSU - will be FSU!

UNC - will be much improved with their incoming class in conjunction with Jawad, Manuel, and Scott being a year better. I think BMO will contribute some too. I'm still not sold on Adam Boone but i think he is a heady player that can contribute by carring the water cooler next year.

Anyone who watches college hoops knows that the ranking of Maryland's recruiting classes means jackshit. Where was Juan Dixon ranked coming out of HS? Or Joe Smith? Or Lonny Baxter? Yeah that's what I thought. Gary Williams has the same players every year, just with different names, and his teams will ALWAYS be good. They won't be as good as they were last year or this year but they will be a lot better than Carolina. I never get sick of hearing Blueblood use the rankings of a team's recruiting class as a better measure than who the returning players are--for determining a team's worth.

I think he meant that FSU would go back to whooping UNC, as before.

"Blake's steal of Williams at half time was the play of the year in the ACC. That was too much fun to watch."

Very good play, and a great game by Maryland. Enjoy it while it lasts, because Duke will be back when it matters most--like postseason play.

"dook/Maryland the last few years has been fun to watch, and certainly the classic matchup - But as I recall...

that awesome Maryland team from last year - got swept BAD by those washed up Tar Heels. "

They also lost to FSU and a gazillion other teams during that February stretch brought on by Duke's comeback. When we talk about how good Md. was last year, we mean that they were playing better than anyone going into the NCAA's and nearly won the whole thing.

"One bad year does not = crumbled dynasty. "

No, but what about 3 or 4 bad years? Not that UNC was a dynasty in the first place....

"Only ONE other school has ever punked them worse when they were number one - Now I wonder who that could be? HMMMMM?"

Elton Brand didn't play. And what did the Tar Heels gain from that game? Did they win the national title because of it?--the way the fans acted, you would've thought so.

JCB, sometimes I wonder what in the hell is ur ranting about anyway? I didn't attack dook or you, yet, you lay into me at every opportunity. And believe it or not but finishing top 3 in the ACC for 37 years is damned impressive. Just because DOOK can't lay claim to this you bash the HEEL fans and their tradition. I know DOOK got smacked yesterday but BACK OFF! DOOK's streak of winning the ACC had to end sometime! The only reason I can think that you would be upset about this thread is realizing that the prospect of losing JW, CB, and possibly MD has gotten you unraveled. Hey, GET A GRIP and welcome to the life of HEEL fans everywhere. Dook will still be good next year!

    Two things:

First, I do not think that the Heels will be, "...back to their 20 plus wins and NCAA birth along with a top 3 ACC finish... " next year... They MAY get an NCAA bid, but I think they might have a hard time with 20 wins and the third place finish...

Second, I agree that State will miss Grundy and Miller next year. Miller is a coach on the floor, and Grundy is having a phenomenal year. However, I do not agree that, "The starting backcourt will be very young for the wulfies..." They may not be as good as this year, but the backcourt candidates will be Crawford - Point - Senior, Sherrill - 2 - Junior, and Hodge - 2 - Sophomore. They will pick up another point guard, but with the these other three guys for support, all of the pressure will not be on him.

Blue, what are you talking about? I attack you b/c you say the same stupid stuff every post--stuff that is completely unwarranted. you're always basing stuff on recruiting, recruiting, recruiting, as if its all that matters in college bball. You're always saying everyone's going to leave school as if it's a set-in-stone fact. It doesn't make me mad, but sometimes I have to scratch my head in amazement. And even if they all leave--it's happened to us before, and I think we're more than ready for it to happen again--oh wait, you're just SO SURE that none of Duke's recruits will make it to school, and again, why?
