    Thursday, March 9
    Game 1: #8 Texas Christian (19-12) 60, #9 Marquette (19-10) 57

Senior Guard Corey Santee sank a three pointer with just over 10 seconds remaining to lift No. 8 TCU to a 60-57 overtime victory over No. 9 Marquette in game one of the Kelly Tires Conference USA Men's Basketball Tournament. Santee had connected on just one of his first 12 attempts from three-point range, but drilled the clutch shot from the wing with time winding down. The Horned Frogs advance to play top-seeded Louisville in Thursday's first quarterfinal game at Noon (CST). Marquette junior Steve Novak led all scorers with 16 points, but only three of those came after halftime. Nile Murry led the TCU scoring effort with 12.
    Game 2: #5 DePaul (18-9) 81, #12 Tulane (10-17) 71
No. 5 DePaul concluded session one of the Kelly Tires Conference USA Men's Basketball Tournament with an 81-71 victory over No. 12 Tulane. The Blue Demons held off a late rally by the Green Wave, who trailed by 14 at the break, to advance to the quarterfinals to play No. 4 UAB at 2:30 p.m. CST on Thursday. Sammy Mejia and Quemont Greer each had 18 points to lead the Blue Demons. Mejia also dished out 10 assists and fell two rebounds shy of a triple-double. Forward Quincy Davis led Tulane with 17 points and 11 rebounds as he notched sixth double-double of the season.
    Game 3: #7 Memphis (17-14) 79, #10 Saint Louis (9-21) 59
No. 7 Memphis shot over 60 percent from the field in the second half to help post a 79-59 victory over No. 10 Saint Louis in game three of the Kelly Tires Conference USA Men's Basketball Tournament. The Tigers will face No. 2 Charlotte in Thursday's third quarterfinal set for a 6 p.m. CST tip. Memphis forward Rodney Carney scored 23 and guard Jeremy Hunt added a career-high 22 points to pace the Tigers' offense. Anthony Drejaj led the Billikens with 11 points, who lost on the first day of the tournament for just the second time in 10 tournaments. No. 6 Houston faces No. 11 USF in round one's final contest of the evening. Tip for that contest is set for 8:30 p.m.
    Game 4: #11 South Florida (13-15) 69, #6 Houston (18-13) 64
The final game of round one of the Kelly Tires Conference USA Men's Basketball Tournament is in the books as No. 11 USF pulled of the day's first upset sending No. 6 Houston home with a 69-64 victory over the Cougars. Terrence Leather scored a round one tournament-high 25 points and added 14 rebounds in the victory. Point guard Brian Swift added 17 points including five big points in the waning moments to help secure the win for the Bulls. The victory sets up a matchup with No. 3 Cincinnati in Thursday's fourth quarterfinal. The Bulls have won their last four first-round games dating back to 2001.

I watched the beginning of the first game and the last few minutes of regulation. All I can say is I have no idea how it was even that close. Everytime I was watchng, TCU pressured the Marquette ballhandlers so badly that they couldnt even get to midcourt. TCU was blowing them out early and erased a 12-0 Marquette run by pressing at the end of the game.

Maqruette is awful without Diener. they try really really hard, especially on defense, but they just don't have the horses. They really look like a supporting cast with no leads.

TCU should have blow them out.

Watched a few minutes of the Depaul game too. Ho hum. Diener #2 (of 497,836) is going off from outside and Meija almost had a triple double in the first half. Depaul leads easily 46-32 and hasn't broken a sweat yet.

    Thursday, March 10
    Game 5: #1 Louisville (27-4) 85, #8 Texas Christian (19-13) 61
In the first quarterfinal, forward Ellis Myles recorded the first triple-double in C-USA Tournament history as he led top-seeded Louisville to an 85-61 victory over No. 8 TCU in the first quarterfinal contest of the day. Guard Larry O'Bannon scored all of his game-high 18 points after the break. Aaron Curtis led TCU with 14 points.

Louisville enters the tournament attempting to become the first C-USA school other than Cincinnati to win the regular season and tournament titles in the same season. The Bearcats have accomplished the feat four times: 1996, 1998, 2002 and 2004. Three of those tournaments were held in Cincinnati, with the 1996 tournament being played in Memphis.

    Game 6: #4 Alabama Birmingham (21-9) 59, #5 DePaul (19-10) 56
UAB forward Demario Eddins sank a pair of three's in the final 1:27 to give the fourth-seeded Blazers a 59-56 come-from-behind win over No.5 DePaul in the second quarterfinal of the Kelly Tires Conference USA Men's Basketball Tournament. Eddins had just five points before he scored the Blazers' final six of the contest to secure a semifinal matchup with top-seeded Louisville at 3:30 p.m. CST on Friday at the FedexForum. DePaul senior Quemont led all scorers with his second-straight 17-point outing for the Blue Demons.

    Game 7: #7 Memphis (18-14) 81, #2 Charlotte (21-7) 66
Memphis completed its upset bid of No. 2 Charlotte as the Tigers defeated the 49ers 81-66 on their home court in the third quarterfinal matchup. The Tigers, who led by two at the break, pulled away in the second half outscoring Charlotte 42-29. Forward Rodney Carney led Memphis with 20 points off the bench, while three other Tigers reached double figures. Charlotte forward Curtis Withers had a tournament-high 32 points with 20 of those coming in the first half. His 32 points tied for the third most by a single player in C-USA Tournament history.

    Game 8: #11 South Florida (14-15) 80, #3 Cincinnati (24-7) 68
No. 11 USF has pulled of its second upset of the Kelly Tires Conference USA Men's Basketball Tournament defeating No. 3 Cincinnati 80-68 in Thursday's last quarterfinal game. Forward Terrence Leather had his second double-double of the tournament with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while point guard Brian Swift added 16 points. Cincinnati forward Jason Maxiell also had a double-double scoring 21 points and grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds. The victory sets up the first seminfinal in tournament history between a pair of teams seeded outside the top four. USF will play No. 7 Memphis in Friday's second semifinal at 6 p.m. CST.

you're lucky you didnt wathc the game. even worse than the score...that score makes it look like Memphis salted it away at the FT line....this was over at the start of the 2nd half.

To quote Austin Powers, we've lost our mojo.

Dave, if we'd have played you guys with the same effort we showed tonight, you would have beat us by 50. Aside from Withers, the effort was juts non-existant. I have no idea wtf is wrong with our heads. I have no answers, and I'm scared you are right about the 1 and out.

7-0 in Feb, 0-4 in March(?). Ouch. :wtf23:
