    Ok...

So Concerta is for ADHD, but it's a type of anti-depressant I think.

Any of you on it or know anyone on it? I think I need it, but I really don't want to take any type of medication full time, however I'll share with you a little blip of why I think I need it.
*Side note: My neice started taking it and it helped her and a major bonus was she lost 25 lbs. :bananalam

I start doing something that really needs doing and I see a hangnail on my finger so I go to find the file. While looking for the file I find a rock that I haven't put in my rock collection. I go to label the rock and the phone rings, I have the rock in my hand and start working. I work on the work problem for 10 minutes, then wonder why I have the rock in my hand, I put it in the drawer. When I open the drawer, I realize my white out is dried up and start ordering things I need online from Staples. In doing that, I start calling co-workers to find out if they need anything while I'm placing an order. I realize my address will change soon, so I need to update my files from Staples. I start doing that while on the phone with my co-workers and they open up another can of worms that needs immediate attention. It's noon and I started to think about something besides coffee for the day to eat, but decided to post here instead.
It's neverending, all day long. I rarely get one task completed fully and with complete satisfaction.

    Nuts or ADHD?

I haven't taken it, but Killer says it was close to that at first.

I started thinking about lunch halfway into reading your thread. I feel you sista.

I was tested for ADD. It was the dumbest thing in the world and it turned up negative. No shit. If one little thing happens on the way to completing a task I will forget all about it. I can remember useless shit that happened four years ago but I can't remember to grab the batteries to my camera on the way out of the house, even though I laid them on my wallet just to remember. Shit like that. I will look into this further for you and get back with you. If I remember.:bananalam

I would seriously consider the fact that it could be habbit forming. I have two friends who literally cannot function without the ADHD medication they have been taking for the past 10 years.

I have friends who can't function without beer and cigarettes. Is it really worse?

I went to the website. Sudden burst of energy. I don't do that.

Very good point and one I hadn't really considered -as with any medication I've ever taken, I always felt I didn't really need it and stopped using it unless it was antiobiotics etc....
I don't have a very addictive personality though so I might be ok *cough, cough*.

I have a friend who can't take her medication (not sure what kind it is) during her pregnancy. I'm betting it's close to this stuff.

They wrote her out of work so she could sleep in her 5th month, she sleeps almost 16 hours a day. Crazy.....
