Oh, come on, it's not the OSCARS, it's a roast. Supposed to be funny. They have become more vulgar though. I liked it for what it was. I leave the real world stuff out of it, at least for an hour and a half.

OK. The long and short of it is Charlie Sheen doesn't deserve to be Roasted. The show was just a way to make money by capitalizing on his notoriety. Who's next? Westley Snipes(income tax evasion), hey, how about Charles Manson? I exaggerate, but you get my drift?

I don't like people "changing" the landscape by giving totally different meanings to words/terminology even if it is just entertainment; e.g. Bill Clinton "It depends on what your definition of fill in the blank is."

Don't have much use for somebody who won't pay for their own drugs.

I agree with you on this Jazz. I thought they chose stars for this honor and I don`t consider Sheen a star.

Hmm...wasn't he the star of the most popular sitcom for the last 8 years and the highest paid actor in all of TV? What qualifies as a star then?

I have no idea. Frankly, I don't know who watches CBS. They supposedly have these huge ratings, but I'm pretty sure I haven't watched one of their shows except 60 minutes in the last five years or so. I know some people who watch CSI and NCIS (although I don't know why), but I don't know anyone who will admit to watching their comedies. I'm actually curious if those ratings are a bunch of old people or just people not from the South.

They need to have a separate "ceremony" for the notorious, call it, e.g. the "Half-baked?" Is there something wrong with "Roast" and its recognition of the contributors to the arts and entertainment? Why change the spirit of an institution? This, IMHO, is unwarranted "change." I mean, I understand rebelling against labels and all that shit, but, c'mon...

I can see you take this way more seriously than I do. I just wanted to laugh and didn't really care what the show was called, be it a roast or half-baked or whatnot.
