I guess I never realized how hard it is for me to relinquish control until I know I've got to let someone put me out. I dread the prep, but I'm not scared of it, I'm terrified of being knocked out. Irrational, I am.
People in healthcare make the worst patients.

Dr. Richardson is who performed the Colonoscopy, she was 45 minutes late. So by the time she got there the anestetic(sp?) had wore off.

I told her she was hurting me, and she ignored me. I asked for more pain killers, and did not receive it. I am not trying to scare you Plu, my experiences with doctor's are rare. But that was one of the worst things to ever go through for me. After giving birth to three kids, I would take a C-section over that anyday.....especially with that woman! After all was said and done, my intial trouble was not fixed anyhow. As to why I do not visit the doctor.

    Huh?

I've never had a doctor who wasn't in the room before they gave me the anesthetic, the anesthetist gave me the shot, then the doctor began. I was out like a light. Are you telling me you woke up before it even happened? Where did you go??

Call Gastroentorology Associates in Hickory (or any of the gastroenterologists there), ask for Dr. Koscheski, and tell them you want the procedure done at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Only an hour drive and they will take care of you.

It's ok, and thanks Plu. I hope no one ever has to deal with that.

They did not knock me out, I knew everything she did and exactly when she did it. :( It was done at Presbyterian. Thanks Silver, I'll check into it. I hope all is well with you, and continues to be so.:)

The doc who did my sigmoid said to me as he was cramming that thing in my ass "if I put two hands on your shoulders and you like it...you might want to find another doctor".
