Collins is a quarterback !!!!

San Fran's secondary has played badly all year.

He's become a good player. He's got his life in order, not sure he could have done that here. And even still, it took a threat of a benching to get him to play well after the Texans game.

 

The announcers said he has only had 2 interceptions in the last 6 games and a 15 or 16 TDs if I heard them right. Did I hear that right ?

 

since Dec. 1st, he's thrown 13 TDs and 2 INTS.

About 5 weeks ago, after losses to the Titans and the Texans, Fassel took over the play calling from Peyton, and simplified everything and just started feeding their studs. Then he told Collins to either stop being a turnover magnet or be benched. They won their last 4 games, and Collins had the best stretch of his carreer.

 

Collins had 19 TD's and 14 INTs in the regular season. This before his 4 TD day so far against a woefully over matched 49er def. 19 and 14? Better than what we have gotten from our QB this year. I guess we better lump the Saints in the bunch of teams that waived Collins too early due to immaturity

 

Collins' having things simplified for him sure doesn't hurt.

I like Collins. I ain't kept up with him much or anybody else for that matter but he seems to have his team believing in him.
