    The Rose Bowl
    Orange Bowl
    Sugar Bowl
    Cotton Bowl
    Gator Bowl
    Peach Bowl
    Fiesta Bowl
    Sun Bowl
    Tangerine Bowl
    Liberty Bowl
    Independence Bowl
    Bluebonnet Bowl

    that's it

12 bowls. If you weren't good enough to play in one of the 12 bowls you sat your ass at home. If the ACC had two teams in a bowl it was a damn good season.

Having 30+ bowls is stupid as hell. So many crap teams 6-6 teams. Ten teams from the ACC in a bowl. So stupid.

If there isn't going to be a playoff I'd rather go back to this. Get rid of the crap bowls. Forget the fucking BCS. I'd rather have the AP writers pick the champion again. At least then they could get back to the tradition of the PAC10 vs Big 10 champs in the Rose Bowl.

Big 12 champ in the Orange bowl, SEC champ in the Sugar Bowl.

If we are going to just piss and moan over which team got left out of the BCS title game might as well go back to pissing and moaning like it used to be.

I think you should have a winning record in order to play in a bowl game, but other than that I don't mind there being so many. It gives me something to watch in late December and half of those involved get to end their season with a victory.

I like all the bowl games personally. Like Wake vs. Navy. Neither team is really "deserving" of a bowl game, but it was a damn good game to watch and thats what its all about is entertainment anyway.

Yeah, the stretch of bowl games is my favorite time of the sports calendar. Too bad almost everything is on ESPN this year, though.

Some of these bowls are just terrible. Tonight it is Southern Miss vs. Troy in the New Orleans bowl :barf2:

There might be too many but let em play. Some of the games are pretty ugly though.

I think maybe some of these bowls could be used in some sort of playoff system that would serve as a tournament to decide a real national champion. What do y'all think?
