Carolina's six-game ACC winning streak is the team's longest of the season and the longest since a seven-game streak midway through last season...Colin Bates has not allowed an earned run in his last three appearances (9.1 IP)...Brian Moran has walked just one hitter in his last five appearances while striking out 12 (9.1 IP)...Carolina's 24 triples this season are tied for the single-season school record...The Saturday win over Maryland was just the third ACC game this season in which Bates and Moran were both available but neither were used...In just about every recent NCAA tournament projection

Elon holds wins over Auburn, Wake Forest, NC State, ECU and Duke. A quirk in the schedule means the Tar Heels get a day off after the Elon game before hosting Longwood in a rescheduled game on Thursday and then heading to NC State Friday-Sunday; 20-26 Overall, 8-16 in conference, NC State needs to win to close out the second half of the season in order for any post season hopes.

Good to see a lot of ACC teams in the Top 25 but surprised not to see FSU or South Carolina in the Top 25.

I HEARD that it was originally in Boston, but has been moved to Durham. I have no idea if that's true, it's 3rd hand information.

NC State takes 2 of 3 from UNC, big series win for the 23-28 Wolfpack. Bad loss for UNC.

Hope this will give us some confidence heading into the Clemson series. We are technically not dead yet according to gopack.com's report from the 9-4 win. We could get into the ACC tourney with a sweep of Clemson. Though, sweeping Clemson in baseball isn't on the list of easy things to do.

    oh well

oh YES.....great weekend series win, even though it is unlikely Pack will be going to the post season............

I read in some publication that State was the most disappointing ACC team in '09 after going to a super-regional in '08, but we'll certainly take the series win over the heels.
sounded like the heels defense broke down several times in Raleigh and they left a lot of runners on base.
