    This movie blew ass. What a weak ending. He walks across the Carolinas to get his womern, she damn near shoots him, then they just look at each other like they are complete idiots. WTF?

    In unrelated news, the move was absolutely beautiful, even though it wasn't shot in the Old North State.

    yes, the "Battle of the Crater" was pretty acurate. I occured in petersburg a month or so before Appomattox(sp). I believe the Black regiment is who rushed into the crater. I walked that battlefield several years ago.


    it is a classic tragedy. Boy meets girl, falls in love, boy gets seperated from girl. Boy goes on an oddessy like trek to get girl. Finally gets her, gets laid then gets killed. The total chick flick formula.

    Still haven't figured out how he went to Petersburg, VA to the mountains of NC via the beach. Must of gotten bad directions. :rofl:

    He was injured at Petersburg and was sent to an army hospital on the beach, simple.
