    Don't sweat it. Hurney will trade the #9 plus next year's 1st to get that #8 spot.

    Imagine if Hurney had traded the #1 overall in 2011 for a 2010 first rounder to draft Jimmy Clausen, which multiple news outlets reported that he tried to do unsuccessfully.

    If Hurney hasn't been fired by this point, JR never will. I'm pretty sure I would have died from an aneurysm, though, so there's that.

    Now that is positive thinking.

    As much as it pains me to say it (kidding) I agree with Colin about Hurney. We have had the talent and opportunity to build a solid, consistent team here. Instead, we sign Jake "Tommy John" Delhomme to a ridiculous contract....Julius Peppers....Otah.....E. Brown .....Clausen.......Edwards......"we spent $60+ million preserving our core (of a 2-14 team without addressing obvious needs)......to be continued.
