  1. Looks like Bama's getting the Saints' Mike Riley.

has HC experience, coordinator experience on either side of the ball, could do worse.

Still odd how SEC teams are using Saints coaches.

Bob Toledo out. And he won't be the last. Supposedly there's pressure to get Chow.

You expect LeBeau's out in Cincy. And Campo as well. I guess McGinness has done just enough to stay in AZ? It's him or his QB gone. Or both.

Edit - Anyone remember who Toledo's OC was at UCLA?

I don't see McGinnis being fired but yeah Plummer is gone IMO.

I decided I was tired of waiting and Mail had seen the thread before I edited. UCLA's OC was Kelly Skipper, the guy who helped sell us on Foster and obviously Jim Skipper's son as well.

Skipper was OC, RBs coach, and return specialist coach for UCLA.
He also helped develop Michael Pittman at Fresno State, as well as Lorenzo Neal.
I'd love to have him here as something, anything. He's not terribly experienced but he's also in his mid-30s.

*Chris Mortensen says that Marvin Lewis isn't going to MSU.
Says that Mike Riley is high on Alabama's list but they're also concentrating on Walt Harris (Pitt) and Beamer.

Chow's been contacted by Utah, but I wonder if he'd go there before UCLA?

both, I'm sure, have some ties there. Utah maybe a little more, but being in SoCal for a year would certainly make living conditions (and more money, and a better recruiting base) better than Utah. In my opinion June Jones is a genius for turning SD down and taking Hawaii.

Hell. You could recruit the same guys you were looking at the day before.

But that's just the way I'd do it. Pressure out there's obviously more than Utah. And he certainly must like Utah, getting his BS and M there and then getting his doctorate at BYU (nice).

He might take Utah just to spite BYU. OK, that's a little far-fetched, but it's possible, dammit!

    UCLA looking at Riley now:

Saints | UCLA Interested In Riley? - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
6:16 PT: Brian Allee-Walsh reports for the Times Picayune UCLA apparently will discuss with New Orleans Saints assistant coach Mike Riley their head-coaching vacancy. UCLA officials have already contacted Riley. UCLA officials were flying to New Orleans on Monday night to meet with Riley later Tuesday. Riley has also been linked to the Alabama job, but so far no discussions have occured. "I've never heard so many rumors that are untrue regarding Alabama," Riley said.

Makes sense for him as well. He did well coaching out that side of the country, save SD.

The Kentucky coach went to Baylor. That's odd.
