Since you're a varsity coach now and the seasons over you might find yourself having a tad of time to laugh once in awhile. If you ever feel the need to slap your knee just ask B&B to explain his thoughts regarding two gapping technique, stimulus response, and DL play in general. Stand by for the best google Madden explanations that the internet can find.

Trying to get our HC/DC to reel in our OC so that our D doesn't have to carry the load again next year...plenty of laughs there!

No...he's a lot like Dorf, but with a Type A personality. I coached with him my first couple years and know what to expect from him. He's a one man show, which doesn't work well at the varsity level.

Clipboards, NO! But, I have been known to chuck them in the past.

Headsets are EXPENSIVE! Half the season, I had to give up mine to the HC because his mic broke...I don't talk much during games, unless I see something...then I just yell. Our HC, destroyed 2 this year...after the second one I looked at him and he smiled and said we were getting new ones. While I was at the Soph level, I looked into buying a used set. Just a box for the booth with two cans and two sets for the sideline. USED...$3500. $8000 to $10000 new.
With the new sets, the rule will be "you break it you buy it".

For sale signs in the front yards of coaches after losses still go on?

My favorite was always the cleverly worded messages left on the answering machine back in the day.
