weber st. there's your "easier" first round game. he earned it. and he's got the best winning percentage ALL TIME in the tourney regardless of games. he also has the record for most regular season wins by a coach in the amount of time he's coached. so, he just hasn't had the amount of games to win as dean. so there's your asterik. oh yeah, and unless dean is coming back, coach k STILL has more titles than deano.

where's wossa with another "owned" picture?

Yes but if the second best team in a conference was head and shoulders above the best team in another conference, they didn't dance. This really is elementary shit Fever....well, at least for some.

Well I have been going with more of the thread title.

But on the other hand, I don't really see the extra game as making it harder for a team to win, other than the fact you do have to win one extra game, but I think overall your competition is easier, so it could be a wash maybe.

I doubt you will ever see that, all the kids turning pro from high school, leaving early, etc.

It's going to happen, thus my point that a no name team knocks out the big guy, thus making it easier for the other remaining teams.

Well no shit, so care to compare what those teams did in the tourney, since they didn't belong, compare to what the field of 64 teams have done that did n't belong?

Why should I? All I said was there was no guarantee that the best teams made the tournament back then. Now, all the ones with a legitimate shot, do.

So they also get more chances to win a national championship. And all of the weaker teams still get in this way as well.
