Wow... just got back from watching this movie.


I about started to rub one off watching Natali Portman at the strip club.

One lady walked out of the movie she was so disgusted.

I kinda liked it. Pretty fucking weird and dark. Natali Portman is fucking beautiful.

 

It was a dark movie, but good, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hollywood doesnt give a damn anymore and it surely didnt end the way I thought it was heading.

 

Tell me more; what's it about?

 

The Natalie girl, Jude Law, Julia Roberts and some other guy from Great Britian.

Its twisted but real. I cant tell you too much but Jude law is a writer, Natalie is a stripper/wanderer, Julia is a photographer and the other guy is a doctor. Its about being completely honest in relationships, yet being deceiving...Its about love....deep, naked and raw love and how selfish we humans really are. There is lots of dialogue in the movie that makes you uncomfortable to hear because they do and say things you think about, yet cant imagine yourself doing and saying sometimes. While not a tear jerker, it leaves you feeling like you have been right there with them all along. Julia doesnt play her normal laughing, big grin crying wholesome girl for the most part. Let me know what you think if you see it.

 

Normally I'd skip a movie with Julia Roberts on general principle, but your description + Natalie Portman = maybe worth a look. I'll post again if I go see it.

 

I absolutely loved this movie for daring to be different. It may not even be the best of 2004, but i cannot remember ever seeing another movie like it.

Natalie Portman is beautiful though. In some kind of ethereal, otherworldly way. Sometimes she looks like a little girl (icky!), and sometimes she looks too beautiful to be human.

yes, but thanks to camera angles and edits, you don't see much. She had them edit out some topless shots.

The best view is of her on the stripper pole. She might as well be naked. She's wearing a wig and some dental floss.

There are plenty of girls with better bodies, but she's got a better face than all of them.

This movie is different.

It's a movie about relationships; trust, honesty, and the truth.

How we deal with these truths. How we as humans are selfish, which in turns, sometimes make us spiteful. How envy and jealously can rip your heart out, thrown on the floor and stepped on.

After all of that, you realize, the hurt, the agony, and finally the truth.
