Going down to Clemson Thursday for the Clemson/State game. I'm betting this will be State's first loss this year.

    Any takers?

    Hope Clemson crushes them.

I don't believe Cemson has the D to hold State at bay, tho they will score score some points. State will win, but not by much.
How Mclendon performs being banged up will be the key.

Duke's defense is better than Clemson's?

I like State, but I think they're overrated. I wouldn't mind seeing Clemson win this game, they need it more. Either way, I'm hoping for a close one. I just want an exciting game, I won't be too bummed no matter who wins. It's supposed to rain, I'm hoping it's not a downpour or it will be low scoring and boring.

Clemson's D held Florida State for the first half. I'm thinking this should be a shootout, at least that's what I'm hoping. State's defense isn't great either. They haven't played a decent offense yet.

I'm thinking State was looking past the Dukies. Just an opinion though...don't know if I'll bet this game or not.

Thanks for the rain tip SS.

  8. Duke's frontline was tough for State - they were bigger (wider & taller) than State's OL. State's OL dominated Carolina's DL the previous week - but Duke has some loads up-front.

I agree that State is overrated - but they keep finding ways to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Texas Tech has an offense, but State's D really has me confused - they vary greatly.

McClendon is the shiznit. If he's healthy, Clemson will have their hands full.

I'm hopeful for State, but Clemson seems to have the Packs' number. Amato needs to beat this Baby Bowden, badly...

I'm worried about this one, because it's Clemson, and because they look pretty good on offense. Clemson should have lost to Wake, mostly because Wake gave them the ball every chance they could. Before that, Wake was running the ball down their throats. If NCSU's play callers don't get too cute, I think we can win.

Clemson will be, and rightly so, hyped for this game. It should be fun to watch.
