    and then when the heels win by thirty hes suddenly a great coach again.
    i dont think doh should be fired. give the guy some time. i have seen him make some dumb decisions, but i think he is improving. he shouldnt be fired.
    doherty would be a great coach if he would just do two things:
    1. never let jackie manuel touch the ball on offense
    2. chain byron sanders to the bench and throw away the key

    When you have 4 TO's with 33 seconds left and have 3 possessions and end up throwing it away and launching two bs 3's you need a new coach. I was mad. I'm tired of seeing shit like that.

    This loss IMO was the final nail in the coffin. UNC will not go to the big dance. They will lose several more games to end the season. I'm a UNC fan but these kids aint ready for the tournament yet. They cant finish, they have NO go to guy during crunch time, they are unorganized during critical moments of the game, CLEMSON WAS DUNKING ON THEM! OVER AND OVER! CLEMSON! They will lose to Wake, Maryland and probably Duke and State. I'll still pull for them but I'm pretty pissed about the direction this team is going in right now.

    unorganization is linked directly to the coach. These guys aren't freshmen anymore. The go to guy is the coach and I swear he is hiding at the end of these games.

    I must admit that I thought that the hiring of Doherty was the right choice. I liked what he had done at Notre Dame and the fact that he had worked with Williams at KU and was an alum as well. I'm not happy at all with what I've seen in some of these losses this year. But I'm not quite sure if it is coaching, or youth or the lack of an inside threat (may boil down to coach) or Doherty trying to compensate for the lack thereof and altering strategy. I'd be willing to give him more time with his group of recruits, a year or two at the most. He has some work to do. Lets not forget Dick Baddour's role in all of this too.

    Doherty did the same thing at ND as he did his first year at UNC, nothing. If you want to give him credit for those two years, you have to give him credit for the last two.
