  1. Last year was his first season I believe and he hasn't played this season very much, thats an injury for one year of playing (last year) and he did't start all the games either. Just pass on him, our problems aren't at RB.

Lamar smith is emitts age. Foster very well could be done. M. Smith is a guy that has played in the NFL and has ran well. If he wasn't behind Warick Dunn and Duckett he could be playing. I'm not convinced that Dee Brown is NFL material. He fumbled twice in the Green Bay game, when all we need him to do is hold on to the ball.

  3. First off Lamar Smith and Emmitt Smith are not the same ago. Also why act on Foster if we on't know for certain and why go and get some guy that didn't make the Falcons roster when April rolls around we pick up a better guy in the 4th round or so, and even if he do sign him he won't be here for long.

Emmitt is one year older, sorry for the miss information.

    M. Smith had 760 yards rushing, 240 receiving and 6 tds in 12 games last year. He has only been in the league 3 years. His rookie year he backed up Anderson and had very little carries. Last year he played well and was injured. This year he was behind Warrick Dunn and Ducket. He was not drafted he played for NC A&T. Why not give this guy a look? L. Smith is wearing down and Dee Brown scares me when he carries the ball.

  5. If Smith did break down and Dee Brown wasn't able to carry the load we could just moved Hoover over from FB to play RB and promote Nick Goings to FB. I just don't see the need to pick up a RB now.

We'll see Goings at RB before Hoover. Goings already gets touches as it is, Hoover is a FT FB now. He's beefed up a bit, I guess they both have.
With Foster being an unknown and this being more of a power running (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) offense, I would say Smith would be at least insurance. Not saying the guy is the second coming of Earl Campbell, but we do need to be looking for someone to come in and compete in case Foster doesn't heal well...or should I say unless he is the second coming of Tim Biakabutuka.
