After that one productive stretch replacing injured Anderson (2 years ago?) he just vanished. Did he blow his wad or does the guy still have something? Has anyone seen him in action lately to know? It would be great if he could help us but would he be any better than the backups we already have?
I wish someone would release a DECENT WR.)

yeah but apparently receiver isn't a big need according to this team? We passed on Jackson twice. He's a starter.

We'd have more Smith's than the Bucs have Johnson's

I'd say get him though. He's good and has low milage, but I still think Dee needs more touches.

And all of our Smiths would be relatively small . . . and all of their Johnsons, relatively big . . . sorry

I thought the Falcons might release him last year during the pre-season (2001). He didn't get many quality touches, but looked good all the while.
You gotta give a guy like him a look. He's a bruiser, just what this offense needs in a back-up.

  9. At the end of last season I think it was, he tore his ACL and then was waivered by the Birds, resigned and then waivered again. I'll pass on him, he's injury prone and we hardly ever sign anyone, I mean we've needed a WR forever and we get Nate Jaquet when Smith is suspended.

One injury is what you call injury prone? That's the only injury the guy has had as far as I know. Don't know about college, but in the Pro's that ACL is all he's had.
