City Council Groans About the Back Door of the new Uptown Arena

    Once again, someone wants the building to say Charlotte (Malcom Graham, City Councilmen) . . . Will someone please explain to me what architectural style says Charlotte :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: ? ? ? What does Philips Arena define Atlanta (yeah, yeah the city named is spelled out to support the outside canopy :) ) ? ? Or how does the Fleet Center in Bahstan say 'This is New England!!!!' ? I will agree that the architects need to dress up the back door some more, but considering that the budget is only $200 million, there isn't too much they will be able to do :( :( . .

    Hmmmmmmmm, perhaps who is ever the official bank of the team/arena (once again, I will say it will be Bank of America . . BJ is buddies with Hugh ;) ) will get some drive thru teller lanes installed in the back of the building :D :D !!!!

    I was thinking more along the lines of a weatherbeaten butler building or broken down warehouse building. Or maybe they were thinking red brick neo- romangreekflorentinenutraantebellumshotgunshackesq architecture?
