So if I go to a rodeo ( baseball game, football game, whatever) once a year, am I two faced because I enjoy it?

A football game or whatever this has nothing to do with your belief.

People here who do so (one time a year church) don't enjoy it, they
just do it because they think they have to because of good manners
    or whatever.

I don't think you can compare this. ;)

    edit

Sometimes I even have the impression they do it to legitimize the gifts
    they get. :D

Personally, I'd worry more about what I'm doing that's two faced, rather then others. IF people want to attend church once a year, that's okay. I feel God calls me to attend as often as possible. Maybe if they come once a year they'll change, if they never come they'll never hear "The Word"

Maybe. But at least I don't know a single person who changed his/her
intention to go there or who increased the times goin there.

I have been attending regularly for a little over six months. I do not make it three times per week but almost every sunday morning and about half the sunday nights. I will say this, it has helped me. I find now that if I don't go I miss it.

Just don't let what others do (or say) keep YOU away. Although I know that can be discouraging at times.
I'm called by God, not by man. Sometimes I lose my focus at church, get angry or upset with people, then realize I'm the one with the problem.
If nothing can seperate me from the love of God, I'm sure not gonna let man influence my love or respect for him.
