To a cellist at a rehearsal: "Madam, there you sit with the world's most beautiful instrument between your legs and all you can do is scratch it."
    Sir Thomas Beecham

[I decided to put this in the music category because it's
not hardcore enough for cafe risque.]

I think he's a sax player but he never said what he plays specifically, I don't think. I'm curious as to what his setup is.

I appreciate the attention, but I'm not ready to make any claims
    at playing anything yet.
I'm trying to get my fingers to do right on tenor sax.
I'm more the artsy fartsy type trying to do it in jazz through
    the horn.

"If I'm called a jazz musician, that means if I write an opera, then of course it's a jazz opera. If I go have a hamburger, it's a jazz hamburger."

OK Mag. I confess; I'm a dyed in the wool jazzer.

OK. Probably noone'll think this is funny or significant enough to "get it."

I thought so; but then I thought "going to a masquerade party neckid" was funny.
Anyhow, read this kinda fast, without any biases.
This sorta reminds me of some pop and rock music stuff.

How do you get White rhythm? You throw a
Brunswick bowling ball into a clothes dryer.

Mag, first I apologize for not responding to some of your posts.
I wasn't trying to be rude.

"no, what axe do you play? What piece?

I just got a lawton myself."

    What a coincidence. [I use a MK VI ten(1968).]
I just bought a JodyJazz #7 w/spoiler a week and a half ago; after using a D6 Dukoff for 15+ years. But, I made a mistake. While the JJ "cured" one of my little gripes, I couldn't get a desirable overall response so I went back to my Dukoff. [I was probably trying to play the JJ like the Dukoff, which doesn't work.]
Jody treated me right; he sent three mpcs for me to choose from. I picked one, it was the wrong color, sent them all back and he sent the right color. But this one didn't play as well as the one I tested. It's a good mpc. If you're interested I'll give you a deal.

How do you like the Lawton(on tenor or alto?)? I know you play bari, but there ain't to many bari gigs, per se, around so I assume you're playing tenor or alto.

I guess all this should have been on pms.:)
