I don't know anything about the guy personally, but the games I've seen him in, he's not afraid to take a hit to try to get a touchdown or a first down running the ball himself, and he makes a few mistakes, but overall a pretty good quarterback. Hell, they're the best team in the ACC, and undefeated with a good comeback against Georgia Tech. Once they get somebody to run the ball besides Jones they'll be hard to stop and Rix probably won't pass so much.

Send him up to Duke if y'all don't want him. We'll take him.

 

"driving an old lady to the hospital and to get medicine." that's the best he could do? did he really think anyone would beleive that?

 

I didn't mean to say Rix was that caliber of player. i just haven't seen or heard him do anything to deserve some of the flak he's got. There are worse college quarterbacks with worse attitudes.

 

I think the biggest reason this is getting blown out the roof is that Rix isn't your typical QB at FSU.

 

the players loathe him. the administration is sick of him. the coaching staff tolerates him. writers don't like him.

he's an arrogant ass. and a dumb one, too.

his ally, however, is bobby bowden.

and he tends to carry some weight in these circles.

 

Myself and Solarte1969 interviewed Rix and Bowden last summer before the season started, and Rix seemed like a hell of a nice guy, and Coach Bowden had nothing but good things to say about him. That being said, people that park in handicapped parking spaces should be pissed on.
