This is what happens when you rush through a labor deal that nobody really likes and doesn't really do anything just so you can have your big Christmas day games this year.

Owners had players by the balls and softened their grip. New Orleans is getting a decent deal considering EVERYONE knows cp3 is history after this year anyway. Let's see if people both when Howard forces his way to jersey, another good deal for both teams

If the reports of Howard meeting with the Nets floating around today are true, the NBA would be insane not to veto a trade between the teams.

Fuckers should have held out for a reasonable hard cap.

    Fuck the NBA

I hope they eventually fold. Let the good players stay in college for awhile and then go to Europe.

Why not just contract the league down to maybe 16 teams. Then more teams will have more stars, marginal players will go overseas and more college players stay. I'd also make it you have to have 1 player drafted that year on the roster

there's more than enough talent in the nba. i think a better approach would be to diminish the impact of superstars via rule changes. of course, people love superstars so it's a tough nut to crack.

I think 20 teams would be around the right number. Enough talent around to make most of them competitive (barring dumbass GM's, which there are plenty of).

so what, remove the small market teams? wouldn't that hurt the nba's image if it was seen as being a "big city" game?
