I think this kid is pretty good! He could be the Panthers backup right now.

 

Good article... but I think he looks best in Carolina Blue...

 

It's amazing how often "Carolina" comes up with Leak. Why on earth do people think that a local team that had a bad year has the recruiting power to get the nation's best player?

 

Don't know, realistically, I know its a pipe dream. You actually run into Carolina folk that think he might go there?

 

Nah. I just see him get mentioned a lot here and elsewhere, and of course it's natural to hope, but it almost seems like some expect it.

I'd like it to happen. I want to like Carolina, and I want them to be better than they are. But I've seen them recruit friends of mine. None of them stayed in-state and right now UNC doesn't even have the recruiting edge in-state, IMO.

 

There's a kid on my route being recruited by State, UNC, Maryland, Clemson, Wake, Wofford, App. State...... just about everyone..... even Va. Tech..... the kid's blowing past'em. So fay Army has sent the most letters with State and UNC a close 2nd..... I haven't talked to him yet but I'd love to know what he's considering.

 

Oh yeah the point of that....... IMO he won't go to UNC because of the year they are having..... why would he? I'd love for him to but it's tough to get good recruits when you are losing.


The talk of Leak is just that talk.

 

However, who in there right mind would've thought Iowa would be in his top 5?

 

It also sounds like he's coaching Tenn. right now. If they don't play his brother, they don't get him. How would you like to be Phil Fulmer in this predicament right now?

 

After reading that ESPN article, one may think it is Florida. I think its funny how he is toying with Tenn. to get big brother some playing time.

I think anyone that was a Tarheel fan fell in love with Bunting last year. As a matter of opinion, I would venture to say, his popularity rose higher than any year Mack Brown was there. Even when Mack was winning the majority of paying Alumni were not crazy about him. But he can recruit...
