    Not according to Harold Reynolds. Apparently Harold and Holbrook are the only two people who understand the rule.


    What other manager bunts with the pitcher on deck? In just two seasons Gonz has blown a late 8 game lead and is 0-1 in playoffs. I watch nearly every game. Some of his decisions drive me crazy.

    Yeah, I saw that idiot's explanation, nevermind that the Starlin Castro catch he cited was over 50 feet shorter than the wild card call. Some former umpire moron on ESPN was also trying to invent justifications for the call, which just makes it worse. Jim Joyce earned respect by owning his mistake. Sam Holbrook is going to be remembered for being an unrepentant moron.

    I wish I could collect a dollar each time somebody employed by ESPN kisses the ass of MLB, the NBA and the NFL. I'd be a wealthy man.
