I wonder what made Chip change his mind. Money of course but wonder how much more Philly offered the second time around. Sounds like Jeffrey Lurie made Chip on offer he couldn't refuse.

I'm guessing it came down to whether or not the Eagles would force Kelly to stick with Nick Foles as his quarterback. It doesn't seem like a coincidence that people kept turning Philly down and then Chip comes back into the picture. Supposedly the Eagles were the ones who kept coming back to him, so I imagine they upped their offer in terms of his level of control.

NFL radio this morning were comparing Kelly to Spurrier, questioning whether or not Kelly's offensive ideas could translate. That and slamming Spurrier for not understanding the NFL defensive schemes verses his offense

Spurrier wasn't exactly up for the NFL hours either. Jeremiah Trotter used to say on WIP in philly that when he was in WSH, Spurrier would leave shortly after lunch during training camp to get in 18. The players had never seen anything like that.

Some of Kelly's ideas are already in the NFL. I'll be interested to see if he does that crazy two-point conversion shit in Philly.

    Crash and burn

Philly fans will eat him alive. :blahblah1:

Gimmick coach with no NFL experience. After a couple years he will bolt for a college gig like Saban and Petrino did.
