If they won it would probably make it easier for Kelly to leave.

Not sure how he would translte to the NFL but you are right. Ducks winning would make it easier and right now they look to be the odds on favorite.

Chip Kelly isn't some college fluke. He's a legitimate football savant, and while it's fair to think that a lot of his stuff wouldn't translate to the pros, I'm sure he has a whole hell of a lot that would. I've stated my preference for an experienced coach, but of the college coaches, Kelly is the only one who tickles my fancy.

Kelly would be either a roaring success, or a collosal failure. I'd be really intrigued to see his "year 2" stuff. Year one would catch the league by surprise, and I think he would see some success. The real question is whether that's sustainable. With the right personnel, perhaps. Does Carolina have that personnel? I have no idea.

a lot of what he's doing you could argue is what the pros are integrating into the game. You would assume a stat-based tactician like Kelly would also adapt to what he sees working.

Chip Kelly had Jonathan Stewart at Oregon.

Does he have swagger? Is he an alpha-male who can lead 53 narcissistic, highly paid athletes? Does he know how to manage game situations in the NFL, which can be different from colllege?

If he's not those things, I don't want him.

Anybody interested in Chip Kelly, get on board with the Ducks winning the NC

I'm on board but Richardson can't afford him
