$9 mil over 5 years, $1.3 mil bonus, $1 mil in incentives possible. $1.8 mil average, if you were getting ready to do the math. Per ESPN.

According to the Gazette we're still looking at DT Steve Martin and may be interested in Jets OLB James Farrior.

Yeah, that's more than we could really afford. Starter money.

He's solid, our best DT before he got hurt.

If we got Farrior for a reasonable price, I'll forget about Armstead. What should be our limit there? 5 and 15?

Maybe 5 and 17.5 or 6 and 20. Depends. I do feel he's worth what Minter's worth. The sticking point would be signing bonus, to be honest. That's where it gets sticky...I'd say $5 mil is as good as it gets. Personally, it's extravagant to give more in bonus (in millions) than you have in length (years).

DT Steve Martin? Did he start playing defense after Saturday Night Live?

So apparently the Broncos and Seahawks want Evans.

Detroit really has an odd smattering of talent. There's no coherence to what they're trying to do at all.
