Don't waste your time waiting for this one to get better. Don't waste your time with a Zpac. Ask for Levequin, this particular strain in the Charlotte area, has been resistant to Azithromycin.

FYI, antibiotics have ZERO affect on viral infections. But don't let that stop your wonderful placebo effect and your contributions to resistant strains of bacteria.

Well I tend to agree with you and admit I was quick to tell wj to get antibiotics.

But... 8 people I know had it. 4 got a zpac, 4 got levequin, the levequin people are out running without coughing, the others are still hacking.

I've talked to two docs who've said this particular strain is turing into a sinus infection fast and levequin is the drug for it.
If he just in fact has a cold, then pffft.

    We'll see.

Not all flu-like symptoms are caused by viral infections. But colds and flu are.

like you said, according to the dr it might be viral, in case it isn't he prescribed bioxin to hedge his bet.
