They should hire Jim Calhoun as the coach.

    That's one stoopid mock draft.

WTF... this guy has Portland taking Martell Webster over Gerald Green, and no way Charlotte takes Jack that high either. They could trade down 5 spots. or more, and still get him.

And it looks like he had all the foreign guys slip because he doesn't know shit about them.

I like Jack. He can shoot and he's got size enough to take smaller points down low. Could grow into a Billups type.

No thanks to Villenueva. I don't think a perimeter oriented pf is what you're looking for at the 5th pick.

IMO, Villanueva isn't a PF. He still plays like one, but he won't be able to live out there in the NBA - now that's certainly not a consensus idea, but it's where I'm at. He's got good inside/outside game, which would make him a decent fit in a heavy rotation offense - if, for instance, we had an athletic offensive center who'd spend time around the perimeter, Villanueva could be at home on the glass as easily as he could spend time on the edges. He's kinda like Mashburn, in that he's got a little of everything, but probably won't bang on the inside well at the pro level, and probably won't be as consistent of a defender or scorer as you'd really want.

But he's not the type SF we'd need, either - if we could find one with comparable size, that can shoot and/or slash better and with more even effort, then maybe we'd have something. Either way, bad pick for what we really need, a potent offensive player.

Jack, obviously, is a reach. And yet that's what we'd be facing if we took a bigger guy at 5 - basically, a good but never great PG. He's got OK size, an OK shot, for whatever reason he gives up the ball too damn much.

I rate Villanueva as a Derrick Coleman clone. Has a lot of talent, never really uses it except in spurts and doesn't play hard. While a PG would be nice I really hope they just draft the best player when their turn comes up. Felton, who I've seen listed as their pick, is not 5 spot material imo..

I wouldn't call him a DC clone at all. He's nowhere near able to play C, and probably shouldn't play PF fulltime. He's also nowhere near as out of shape. Sure, focus is something that Coleman/Villanueva/Mashburn share, and he's not a perfect match to Mashburn either, but I only see effort comparisons with Coleman, not style or ability similarities.

Felton as a 5 pick? Agreed. He'd be good to have on the team, but top five is a reach for him. Since we need BPA at four positions, it's not out of bounds to think that we shouldn't have to reach for a guy.
