    are they willing to spend the money its gonna take to get someone halfway decent? wasn't lutz making about 450K?

    Why the failure at A&M? Didn't Gillespie take his guys and succeed? I mean, MW didn't win a game that year. Remember, you are comparing him to a coach you despised.

    After 18 years on the bench as a loyal assistant, Mullins left and recommended Melvin for the job. Knowing she couldn't offer the job to a white coach over Melvin without causing a shitstorm, Judy offered it to Mike Jarvis.

    At the time Jarvis was at GW with no intentions of a lateral move to UNCC. He was so offended by the offer and by Judy's attempt to step on Melvin that he addressed the issue with the Charlotte Observer. It was embarrassing for Rose and a black eye on the school. Ask your dad, I'm sure he remembers it.

    I believe there were circumstances at A&M that attributed to Melvins struggles. He proved at UNCC that he could recruit and coach.

    Not sure what those circumstance were. He had better talent in a higher profile league. The next A&M coach did very well with Melvin's players.

    i want Lutz to come and coach our high school team. we need some serious help. i wonder if he'd be willing to take a huge cut in pay?
