Charlotte vs Duke??

Once your ancestors have suffered through 280 years of slavery only to become second class citizens for another 100 years you may have a point. But the fact is everything prior to the 1960's was white. Water fountains, buses, schools, neighborhoods, radio and TV.

I think the real point is this. Black Entertainment Television is a privately owned and funded network that is offered on cable television at an additional cost. The constitution allows everyone the same freedom of speech rights. If you do not choose to watch or support BET, then you have that luxury.

If you feel that there needs to be a White Entertainment Television network, then why don't you put up the money, manage it and make it a multi-million dollar success?

Dude, I am so tired of hearing that shit. First of all, if my ancestors were anything like me, they got killed along with the black folk for taking up for them.

This is not about whites and blacks drinking from the same water fountain, its about "groups of people" crying their asses off at every modern day injustice. Face it, if someone launched a private network with the calling WET standing for White Entertainment Television, the shit would hit the fan.

I don't feel the need for a WET network... I do feel the need for BET to change their name... otherwise they are propagating the very same thing these groups of people (not race specific) fight against.

The fact is there is a black race and there is a demand for black entertainment. If you don't like the fact that there is a black entertainment network that's fine. Different races are different ethnically. BET targets the BLACK race, so that is the reason it is named the Black entertainment network.

In case you missed it, BET was sold a couple years ago. The Charlotte Bobcats is Charlotte's team. I'm sure you understand that the "Charlotte" Bobcat's target audience is Charlotte, thus the name. The Charlotte Bobcats are not associated with BET and do not target black audiences or employees. The Charlotte Bobcats are an equal opportunity employer. I hope you can make the distinction between BET and The Charlotte Bobcats, if not your a lost cause.

How do you answer the critics that say the NBA product is currently not worth the price of admission?

I for one would much rather watch college basketball where the players play for pride, not a paycheck. I hate the NBA for what it has done to the college game but that isn't why I won't pay to go to a game. I won't pay to go to a game because I can name four teams that play basketball as a team.

Do you support limiting access to the NBA for college athletes?
