I'd rather not, I'm sure someone will though. Let's just say it has to do with Santa Claus.

"Overachiever would be the word that comes to mind," Fox said with a laugh, when asked to describe himself as a player. Fox has been in coaching since 1978, when he took a graduate assistant job at San Diego State.

"He might have been a hard-nosed, hit-em-in-the-mouth type guy," defensive tackle Brentson Buckner said.

"I'd like to see some film on that. I would expect that. It would surprise me if he was anything different, but, heck, I got surprised when Santa Claus was fake, too."

But Edwards will testify that Fox is legitimate and he's not surprised by his former teammate's rise through the coaching ranks.

"He was a good player," Edwards said. "You knew then when he was in college that he was going to be a coach."

My mom told me that when I was too old to believe in Santa I was too old to get presents so I pretended well past 12.

    Yep, that's me too.

I'm not saying I didn't know at 12, but it was still a strange quote to be putting in a story. Doesn't really belong in the story anyway. I imagine the Observer will be getting some complaints over this, as well they should (assuming the story is actually in the actual paper).
