    YES

    Players play for him.

Not to mention he had every right to blast Charlotte. A playoff team that couldn't draw flys is a direct slap in the coach and team's face!

I don't remember him blasting the Charlotte fans... as I remember he said the team "woulda' been better with fan support"... and he was right... there wasn't support, but there was a reason for that... NOW... the other question is would I take him back... HELL YES... one of the better coachs I've seen... he teaches... doesn't just draw Xs and Os

He is a coach but he hasn't done much with New Orleans and I don't remember any championship rings he left behind with the old Hornets here in Charlotte.
Starting over with a new slate would be the best thing.:)

Plenty of good hungry college coaches out there without bringing in old baggage. Don't think Silas would be a fan draw by himself.

I don't think Rick Majerus would be interested

College coaches are on there way out of the NBA. Recent history shows they don't do well at this level.

Anyone that doubts Silas's worth as an NBA coach obviously knows little about what it takes to coach in the NBA. A college coach has NO business trying to micro-manage players lives. These guys are what they are. Without a tough love type of coach like Silas then the players run all over you.

Johnson has already tipped his hand at what type of coach he will select. He picked a dinasaur for his Operations Manager, so I see him doing the same with his coach.

And Silas is the best available dinasaur out there. If the truth be known I would love to have Bass too. He did the most with the least amount of money of any GM in the business.

No complaints there. Atlanta and Toronto were successful under him. I just like Silas's style. The players really play for him. He and the players relate to each other. Lenny is the same type of coach.
