My lower back is hosed and I need to find a doctor of some sort.

I've been going to one guy who does some ultra sound, some electric shock stuff, cracks my back then tells me to come back the next day.

It's not really getting any better. I feel like he's just trying to just sell me treatments and I'm getting ripped off.

Can anybody recommend a decent Chiropractor or Physical Therapist in the Charlotte area?

I've found that although physical therapists can perform similar services to chiropractors, the biggest problem is that you have to be referred by a medical doctor--so you pay for both.

I was very lucky when I lived in Hickory to find a really good chiropractor who wasn't just out to get as many "treatments" as possible in to boost his income. His goal was to relieve my pain & help me to learn to take care of myself in a way that minimized my problems. There are too few of them out there, IMO.

If you have serious problems with pain, it may be worthwhile to get checked out by an MD that you trust & get some input on the causes & possible treatments. At the same time, keep in mind that a lot of MDs are mistrustful of any type of "alternative" medicine, & their recommendations can be skewed by that.

    My 2 cents, FWIW....
