My concern with Batch would be that he would coming in with the expectation to compete for the starting job, having been a former starter. I agree that it comes down to money, but where do you draw the line when you want an upgrade at backup QB?

    Love you every day girl,

    always on my mind.

One thing I can say girl,

    love you all the time.

Hold me, love me, hold me, love me.
Ain't got nothin' but love babe,

    Eight days a week.

8 days a week, and twice on Sunday on top of that.

Upgrade if you can. If he wants to start and will take the minimum, fine. Competition never did anyone bad.

I don't want Batch or Peete to have to play. Peete was brought in as a back-up to tutor Weinke, so as a tutor, I think I'd rather have Peete. But I really don't want either one.

The whole point of them having Peete and looking at Batch is just scary. I guess Fox is a def. minded coach and it will take some time to be able to evaluate off. talent a little better.

It's just not enough to show you care, is it?

You don't think anyone in the locker room is sold enough on Weinke to care whether someone like Batch could come in and take his job?

Problem is I can't profess to say that Batch would be any better than Weinke as a starter. Both have the opportunity to be mediocre at times.

opportunity to be mediocre? what kind of gobbilty goop is that? is that the same as opportunity to be pathetic? oportunity to be excellent QB's? please clarify.

any chance that Fox is concerned that Weinke won't be 100%. if they pick up Batch maybe they will look to deal Chris (Spurrier interested?) I'm seriously wondering if Fox is enamored with Weinke. He hasn't ever exactly ever given him a glowing endorsement.

Spurrier with an FSU QB? I laugh..

No, I don't think Fox is sold on Weinke, and he shouldn't be, he hasn't had the chance to see him practice yet...

Now with Walls, (if you caught the story) that's cool. Fox really used Walls as an example of how to work in the offseason and how to practice. And kudos for Walls, going out there and showing the new HC just what he's about too.

    >>opportunity to be mediocre?

It means Batch has shown no more ability to make the big play consistently than Weinke has, but with more time. In other words, the possibility for success out of Batch is lessened by history. There's an upside, and a far greater one than Peete's, but not greater than CW's by any degree. Therefore to pay Peete what he's getting paid for his service is a far better deal than

Or put most simply, if we're going to put time into an average player to make him great, might as well be someone who's had less success in failure. If Weinke fails, the chance that Batch is the direction of the team long term isn't really any better than Peete's.

    >>any chance that Fox is concerned that Weinke won't be 100%.

Certainly a possibility, but not enough that IMO we'd be looking to make a change. Were we to do so, we could have done so with more quality.

    Absolutely:xyzthumbs

Judging from the back-ups Fox is looking at, tells me he's not the least bit concerned about Weinke.

What about that Walls though Mag? Man that story just gets me pumped.
