Batch wouldn't be all bad as a back-up. I like Peete, too...but he's no spring chicken!

    I'd take batch over Peete.

I like Batch, bring him in.

Now I am going to go cook a batch of cookies.

Batch for Peete works for me as well. Charlie doesn't knock my shoes off, but if Weinke bombs this season - he might be nice to have around.

  7. trust me, batch is a better qb than peete...stronger arm, more mobile, and he makes better decisions (that's scary). He's best with a play action passing attack...

Bobby Ross and Sylvester Croom (the coordinator - now at Alabama, right Bear?) screwed Batch. He wasn't allowed to throw to Moore because they knew he would be double covered...even though Scott Mitchell made a living off throwing to a double covered Moore. If a play was designed to be thrown to the right side of the field, Batch was not allowed to check off to a receiver on the left...he therefore took a lot of sacks. He still has a lot of upside and can get better in the right system with the right coaches.

The talks coming from their side best I can tell, #'s don't make it likely we have interest. Peete's here on the 10 year veteran clause so he's only costing us a $450,000 cap hit. Batch would be considrably more I would presume. anyway I would take him over Peete - Though I am hoping like hell Holly Robinson and I are at Spartanburg one day together.

It all comes down to money, the almighty salary cap. And of course the coach has to like you.

Yeah, I'd take Batch over Peete 8 days a week. He'd have to come in at the vet minimum, and other teams will be able to pay him more, as WP28 indicated. Such is life.
