Charlie Batch

Ole Charlie never could stay healthy. First year it was a busted vertabrae, ended the year on IR. Then he hurt his thumb on a helmet which broke it and he missed several games, later that year he broke it again the same way. He messed up his knee in on offseason drill...busted the bone on the lower thigh bone....it took the entire season for it to heal properly. He's had a few concussions. Lawyer Millow broke his ribs on thanksgiving a couple of years ago, he played with the pain until someone finished him off....leaving old gus frerotte to taking the beating in his abscense.

"The leash" was never taken off. Booby Ross and his OC Sylvester Croom wouldn't let him check off to receivers on the other side of the field. It didn't matter if they were open, he wasn't allowed to check to them. He therefore would hold on to the ball way to long waiting for the receivers on his side of the field to get open, and he took a beating....then booby signs him to jake plummer money.

He does however fit into hennings offense because he can throw the deep ball well and is a very good play action passer....only as a backup. Charlie is in the same boat as Weinke, he hasn't gotten any better.
