why not Batch? this has probably been discussed ad nauseum, but what's the deal? why wouldn't he fit into carolinas future? 6'2, 220. history as a starter. more tds than ints(barely). is he not mobile? my recollection says he is fairly mobile. how could he fal so far from starting the past 4 years to clipboarding for the steelers?

sure, he fits. I mentioned him today and I'm sure I wasn't the first. Not much different than King but had a more dynamic first couple of years. Wasn't he cut very late? I think that's why he got picked up by the Steelers as a 3rd.

IMO Kordell is gone from Pitt.... that being said they may try and keep him around.

Do we really want some one who can't beat out Kordell now even with Mattox injured?

Most of his injuries were bruised or cracked ribs due to being sacked/hit too much. Credit that to an under-performing line or him holding the ball too long.... whichever.

Add in the knee/lower leg fracture and a broken collar bone I believe.
