What's up with Grant? He went from below us at 34 to good value for about a week. He's nothing but potential but he was a solid 275 or so with good pass potential, and now he's getting talked about in the top 20.

I think that Weaver will still be there at 34. Freeney or Edwards will go before then, but I think Weaver will still be there.

Either way I think that there's gotta be more to Grant than just a run on ends. He's still just potential, and yet he's turning into Missouri's Smith.

Yasinskas had us taking him in the second in one of his earlier mocks. I've seen a mock where he goes to Az early in the 1st. Is the talent at DE so thin that some one shoots up this quickly or is the talent overall that bad?

well, a guy with that size can be coveted. I guess he ran a 4.7 and that's brought him into the first. He's atypical of Freeney, Edwards, Brown, Johnson and most of the other barely-260 right ends, and just like Peppers you hope you can get that rare guy who has the run size and the pass skills.

grant's been very inconsistent and that brought him down, along with the fact that I think he came out early and that was a surprise. I remember noting him at the Lair that he'd had something like 6.5 sacks to end the season but he didn't have any the first half.

It's also starting to look as if neither Rumph nor Sheppard will be there at #34 either. Looks as if the Jets want Sheppard and the Niners want Rumph. Could that possibly push us to grab Jammer at #2? We may get screwed on grabbing a top tier CB if we pass on him.

9ers going corner? Suprising, though you could do worse than get a Rumph as a nickle.

He's had three visits with them, looks like he's their guy.

    >>Well, they will be playing in a division with Holmgren, the Rams, Zona. Three teams that tend to move the ball more with the pass.

Yeah, but Holmgren's more of a posession guy at his size :D

    >> Having a good nickle, and depth in the secondary, is imparative.

Especially when you can take a guy with his size and not force him out there the whole time.

    >>Hmmm. Eh, I'm getting that nasty Foster feeling again.

    stop it, I'm eating.

If there is a run on DE's and CB's that may be in the cards. hopefully not, hell if he's there I'd grab the Graham kid from Colorado to replace Walls in a year or two instead of Fumbles Foster.
