From today's edition of the High Point Enterprise. Silver ought to enjoy the photo of bro-in-law.

fucking thugs. i was so mad when i saw that picture in the paper. they know they are representing their school, a prestigious university, but they go out there and try to look like a bunch of gangsta rappers. they all look like they're about to get arrested, not have a press conference. this is UNC, not cincinatti.

And I suppose this is Doherty's fault too? There are major culture changes in college athletics across the country.

No, but they do represent the University and should look the part if they are going to attend the press conference.

Thats why I am all for a simple but probably never gonna happen rule...

    The Rule:

If you are a college athlete on scholarship and you leave the University that is paying for your scholarship to go to a professional sports team, you must repay the university 100% of all fees associated with your scholarship for a 4 year period, no matter if you leave after year 1 or 3.

Sounds extremely reasonable to me but some attorney would make megabucks getting that thrown out in some courtroom.

How about this... since not all guys make the NBA and every team makes some kind of bucks off their team being in NCAA tourney etc, why not give a graduating senior player some type of bonus if their team made money for the university during their 4 years of play.
