I think it's bigger bullshit that Pennington won it over Kerry Collins than that he won it over Delhomme.

Pennington accounted for a higher percentage of his team's offense than Collins or Delhomme. He also played better than either of them.

Jakes numbers are worse in EVERY important category other than maybe yph (yards per handoff). He came back to be.....a very mediocre qb that was carried by the rest of his team. Pennington, Kerry Collins, AND Warner would both have been MUCH better picks. Pennington was the obvious choice.

Pennington is 2nd in passer rating and was the only QB to throw for more than 3500 yards and less than 10 INTs.

Also, he's the face of the Miami comeback, as far as players are concerned. He lead a 1-15 team to the playoffs.

As this is a purely perception award, I think he deserves it.

I dunno.. Jake came back from a surgery that no other NFL QB has had and played reasonably well for a 12-4 team. He hasn't lost any arm strength (not that he had a lot to begin with) from what I could see. Pennington winning really doesn't upset me though.

How many Comeback wins does Chad have? The 1st two games Jake didn't have smith. How would Chad do without R.Brown? The panthers play in a harder Division than the fins. And if Brady was in NE the Fins wouldn't be in the playoffs. The Fins D made them win the division. Jake has won Shootouts with some of the best Qb’s / Offensives in the league this season without our D.

Just like he did last year. He's been better this year, but he also didn't "come back" as far.

I think he got the award for basically being the jilted quarterback in the whole Brett Favre saga. Good for him, I guess.
