The Heat got deeper this year by adding Ray Allen and just recently Rashard Lewis. Short of L. James going down for the season no one beats them

Aside from injury they are going to be hard to beat.

I will be curious to see how Boston does, adding Terry, and interesting the players they drafted slipping because of possible health issues, etc in the draft could end up being total steals in the draft for where they were drafted. Sullinger, Melo and Joseph and then Terry added. So I guess it will depend on what happens with their remaining free agents and how they fill out their roster.

Ray Allen did not have much left in the tank, IMHO. Boston might be better without him. They gave the Heat a tough fight in the playoffs, it would not take much to tilt things back their way.

Well they missed Perkins more than they will miss Allen, so if one of the drafted bigs steps up they should be better.

The Nets will be a lot better than the Knicks. Deron Williams is better than Carmelo, and the overall roster has much more talent.

Losing Bosh would kill them, maybe even moreso than LeBron.

Good lord. Did you not know he was playing through an ankle injury during the playoffs? Ray Allen was 4th in the NBA in made 3 pointers per game, and tied for fourth in three point percentage.

Supposedly the Bobcats are interested in Carl Landry, which be a mistake on anything more than a one year deal. He's a decent player, but also 28 and not part of the team's future.

As long as the contract isn't crazy, that works. He would add scoring, but is soft on rebounding which I don't like. I would rather go with Hunter from the Summer league to be honest and just let things fall where they will this year.

Drafting young players is only part of building through the draft. The other part of it is giving them playing time while they learn. That can be painful and cost you games. I think that is why some guys do not really do anything on their first teams but do well later on.

The best thing we can do for the future this upcoming season is to let Walker, Henderson, Bismack, MKG, Taylor, and the other young guys get plenty of playing time. Even if they are sucking they should learn from it.

While I agree they gotta play to get better, you still have to have some vets that help them. I like the press conference from Sessions and Haywood, I think those guys can give a different perspective on things and help this team. Haywood said the year he won it all in Dallas that he learned a lot and that it's not always about yourself.

This group has to play more like a team than other more talented teams if they want to have a chance.
