    Oakland had better win the damn SB to give up 2 first round picks.

    Also, if anyone needed further confirmation that former Skins GM Vinny Cerrato is an idiot, he was on his Baltimore radio show earlier talking about what "a great deal" this is for the Raiders.

    Well, Mike Brown swore he wouldn't trade Carson Palmer. He said Palmer would either be a Bengal or retire, that was until someone was stupid enough to offer them 2 first round picks like the Raiders. Good luck with that Oakland. It looks like the Bengals should be good for awhile if Mike Brown doesn't screw it up.

    My reaction was "I can't believe that even the Raiders would give up two first round picks for Carson Palmer." If Peyton Manning was healthy and holding out, I'd give up two first round picks for him, but I'd be really uncomfortable about it. Palmer was just "very good" at the peak of his career, and he's not been anywhere near that in a while.

    kind of the opposite of the Dolphins fans hoping to lose every game and get the goodies with the first pick.. Carson Palmer won't get the Raiders to the Super Bowl even if he stays healthy which I'd bet a wad of dough he doesn't

    Just when you start to think Hurney is an idiot someone comes along and makes him look like a genius. Two first round picks for Palmer is way too much. The odds of him being a significant improvement over Jason Campbell are slim at best.

    What I don't understand is why they wouldn't add Garrard. Keep their two picks, and continue on. As its been discussed Palmer won't take them to the Super Bowl. Get a band-aid in until you can get something better.

    Hell in the same token, is Garrard that much worse than Matt Moore? How is it that Miami hasn't signed him either.

    And to add to all of that, if you're the Raiders, and your season's shot why not let Pryor play some? You gave up a 3rd for him. See if he can do anything on the field.

    What happens if Palmer says, "Nah that's ok I'm still retired."

    Technically Oakland traded for his rights. That doesn't mean he has to unretire. Do they still lose their picks to Cincy?

    believe Garrard was about to or just had some surgical procedure and cant play, and I think the Raiders used a 5th? for Pryor?
