Looks damn good early. I like how fluid he moves even under pressure, quick feet and escapable, but still looking downfield.

Leftwitch, Palmer, Banks, Ragone, Klingsbury, Boller, maybe Manning, then throw Sims in their.......

    This is a strong class.

Leftwich and Banks are polished what you see now is what your going to get in the Pro's. Leftwich should be a starter in the NFL, Banks will probably be a #2, but a damn solid #2. Ragone is probably in that mold too, if you give him a decent supporting class.

Kingsbury and Palmer are more raw with more upside IMO. Palmer is basically running a Pro system now, Kinsbury a rather unconventional offense.

Boller, I don't know much about, what I do know he is at the very least solid, better than Kinsbury or Simms. Simms isn't all that IMO.

What about Gessler? He's a SR isn't he?

I'll wait to see if Manning comes out.

Very strong......maybe not what we got with Elway/Marino/Kelly, but deep.

I still like Palmer. He won't make it to the second round.

I'm warming to him. He doesn't have great velocity tonight though. Seems like that's part by design, and he does still throw a fairly tight ball. He's still nowhere near the top ten, which is where we're at, but he's above Ragone, yes.

Arizona has a good rush, and they threw a lot of screens and and roll out type of plays. I've seen him sit in the pocket and sling a rope on a deep post. I feel a little better knowing that he's got some touch and can move around a little and keep his eyes downfield.

I was impressed where on a designed rollout to the left, he threw a little touch pass to the Tight End over a defender. No wasted movement.

To be a legit top 15 pick, He needs to do well vs a quality non conference opponent (in other words, a real defense.) Rose Bowl vs Iowa would do the trick. I'd love to see that machup, and look at both him and Banks together.

Follow up that with a good Senior Bowl and combine, he can rise. But no, he's not their yet.

I guess Notre Dame would do the trick to. Forgot about that one.

I've read in several places that the Jags really, really like Ragone for the first round. As poorly as he looks sometimes this season, his line and his recievers at Louisville are awful.

Ragone would be all-world if surrounded by a little better talent. He does real well with what he has, which would translate well in Jaxsonville or Carolina.

The only way USC and Iowa meet in the Rose is if USC wins out and OSU loses to push Wash St. into the Fiesta...which at this point I feel is almost certain, OSU losing that is.
If that happens, that will be the best BCS match-up. Probably the 2 hottest teams in college FB.

I completely agree though that statement almost contradicts itself

Wasn't even that close of a matchup. USC dominated.

Heisman winner. Goes 21 for 31, over 300 yards in his last collegiate game, against a very good Iowa defense.

Palmer looked like the #1 pick. Not even close after that performance IMO. He throws the most beautiful ball I've seen. Tight spiral right on target most of the night. Last year I never thought he would be this good. He is reading defensive tendencies and finding the 2nd and 3rd options quickly. His teammates seem to rally around him now - which I didn't see in the past. He has great talent and is finally putting it all together. I think somebody will go up to #1 and get him with Cincy moving down. He starts very early in his NFL career.

Jaw dropping performance. Nearly flawless. Just made himself a shit load of money. Palmer is definately the man.
